For this project, the goal wasn’t to create a backyard that simply looked beautiful. It was to shape a space the homeowners would naturally move toward at the end of the day, and one that could just as easily welcome a full evening of hosting.
The layout centers around connection. The patio and fire feature create a natural place to gather, while the surrounding lawn and planting offer space to spread out without feeling disconnected. As the evening settles in, subtle lighting carries the experience, adding warmth without overpowering the setting.
A stream element weaves quietly through the landscape, introducing sound and movement that softens the entire space. Paired with layered planting and mature trees, it creates a sense of privacy and calm that feels established and effortless.
Every decision was made to balance structure with comfort. The result is a landscape that supports both quiet, everyday moments and the kind of evenings that tend to last a little longer than planned.
